For years, Ascendents.net was mainly a video player that has worked with features of YouTube (however, it could be adapted to work with any platform) to bring a unique streaming music video experience with fun new features to millions of visitors. It undertook steps creating an advertising/royalties platform to pay artists with the ad revenue collected, which still remains unused. Instead, those who do not want their music on Ascendents.net typically use YouTube to disable their video content from playback. Ascendents.net also has created an ability for its users to disable their videos from being played (that's their choice). On the other hand, there are thousands of artists who are happy to have their videos played with the Ascendents.net video player, and because more seem happy about it, Ascendents.net has decided to keep the video player available as the division/department is phased out of being a primary business activity.
