If you're looking for a new band with a classic rock feel, check out "Bad Seeds" or "The Mountain Rises" by Secondhand Watermelon, and if you like longer songs like this, be sure to check out "Old and New"

Even if the first 3 minutes are a cover, this is still one of my favourite basslines, especially because of Geezer's tone and the way he plays it. Bill's drumming is superior to the original and provides added drive and groove. Tight tight tight!

Warning
Black Sabbath
Now the first day that I met ya
I was looking in the sky
When the sun turned all a blur
And the thunderclouds rolled by
The sea began to shiver
And the wind began to moan
It must've been a sign for me
To leave you well alone
I was born without you, baby
But my feelings were a little bit too strong
You never said you love me
And I don't believe you can
'Cause I saw you in a dream
And you were with another man
You looked so cool and casual
And I tried to look the same
But now I've got to know ya
Tell me who am I to blame?
I was born without you, baby
But my feelings were a little bit too strong
Now the whole wide world is movin'
'Cause there's iron in my heart
I just can't keep from cryin'
'Cause you say we've got to part
Sorrow grips my voice as I stand here all alone
And watch you slowly take away
A love I've never known
I was born without you, baby
But my feelings were a little bit too strong
Just a little bit too strong
Now the whole wide world is movin'
'Cause there's iron in my heart
I just can't keep from cryin'
'Cause say we've got to part
Sorrow grips my voice as I stand here all alone
And watch you slowly take away
A love I've never known
I was born without you, baby
But my feelings were a little bit too strong
Just a little bit too strong

It would be great if they released the full uncut version (apparently Iommi's solo went on for way longer but it had to be edited down to fit on the album).

I'm admitting I was so stoned I forgot I heard this but I instantaneously know exactly what Mr. Osborne is saying! not by a remembrance but by my own reality. And goddamn if I ain't getting to be half a century in stature.

GODFATHERS no 2 fucking ways bout it!
- Don Teague -

I love this shit, that is me looking out the window above the door, I was only six years old and when I turned twelve I saw a witch that was flying towards the woods and she disappeared but when I followed her she caught me and turned me into a The Wizard.
- Animal Leckner -

These days, NO band would put a song on an album that was 10:28 long. Sabbath had the balls to say fuck it. We are going to do what we want. People obviously loved it since this song is still popular today, 50 years after it's creation.

..........""""BRAVO""""""""!!!!!!😷😷😎😎😰🎵🙊🙉🙈

its unfair they litterly just made it impossible to be origenal cause they already did all kinds of riffs and solos in one album lmao
